Luciano Spalletti is set to make his managerial comeback. The former Italy national team coach has reached an agreement with Juventus — the deal is finalized and only the official signature remains. Spalletti will be at the Allianz Stadium tonight to watch the match against Udinese and will officially take charge of the team tomorrow. His mission: get Juventus back into Champions League contention. The contract runs until June 2026, with an automatic two-year extension if the club qualifies for the Champions League. His salary is reportedly around €3 million per season, plus performance bonuses. Spalletti plans to reshape Juve’s tactical identity, reverting to a four-man defense and a three-man attack built around Yildiz and Conceição, with either Vlahovic or David up front. Another key priority will be reviving midfielder Koopmeiners, whose form has dropped despite being one of last year’s biggest investments. Negotiations were swift, driven by Spalletti’s eagerness to return after his disappointment with the Italian national team. Despite late suggestions of Raffaele Palladino, Juventus management had already made up its mind. Now, Spalletti’s challenge is to restore the Old Lady to her former glory — in Italy and beyond.
