One dead and around ten injured. This is the toll from a horrible road accident that occurred on October 29th in the province of Treviso: a bus carrying approximately fifty young students collided with a Hyundai SUV. The driver, an 85-year-old with a suspended license, perished in the collision with the public vehicle. According to initial reconstructions, the bus overturned into a ditch after the collision with the car. The violent crash was allegedly caused by the SUV entering the bus's lane, likely due to a sudden illness suffered by the elderly driver. According to the Carabinieri, the old guy was driving without a license after being denied a renewal due to a lack of medical qualifications. He should have undergone treatment (for his vision or hearing; it is unclear which) before obtaining his license. The impact was unavoidable, and both vehicles ended up off the road.
