As of now, 58,273 migrants have landed on Italy’s coasts since the beginning of the year. In the same period of the previous year, there were 55,049, while in 2023, there were 143,153. The data was provided by the Ministry of Interior. The total number of people arriving by boat in Italy in October was 7,265. Last year, there were 5,722 for the entire month, while in 2023, there were 10,277. In 2025, there were nearly 58,300 migrants who arrived in Italy. Of these, 17,803 are Bangladeshi nationals (30.5%), as indicated by their declarations upon disembarking. Other major nationalities include Egyptians (7,955, or 13.6%), Eritreans (7,166, 12.3%), Pakistanis (3,974, 6.8%), Sudanese (3,522, 6%), Somalis (2,777, 4.8%), Ethiopians (2,081, 3.6%), Tunisians (1,563, 2.7%), Iranians (1,551, 2.7%), Guineans (1,346, 2.3%), Syrians (1,250, 2.1%), Algerians (1,174, 2%), Nigerians (849, 1.5%), Malians (798, 1.4%), and Afghans (615, 1.1%), along with 3,849 people (6.6%) from other countries or whose identification is still ongoing.
