The University of Ferrara is creating a new generation of artificial intelligence and big data experts. On Tuesday, the first five Master's Degree in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Big Data graduates were announced. The program, launched in the 2023/24 academic year, was designed to meet the growing demand for advanced skills in the digital and innovation sectors. The Master's Degree, provided jointly by the Departments of Mathematics, Computer Science, and Engineering at the University of Ferrara, is a natural progression from the undergraduate programs in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, and Computer Science. The program provides an integrated curriculum that includes core courses in Data Science, Optimization, and Artificial Intelligence, as well as specific courses in Machine Learning, Data Mining, and Big Data Technologies. Furthermore, thanks to an agreement with the University of West Florida, a "Double Degree" program is in place, allowing students to spend their second year abroad at the partner university while earning both an Italian Master's degree and a Master's in Computer Science.
