Traditional and oral expressions, performing arts, social customs, rituals and festive events, knowledge and practices about nature and the universe, traditional crafts. Italy's intangible cultural heritage constitutes a distinctive characteristic, particularly for villages and communities in rural regions, and consists of traditions transmitted through generations within those communities. This is why promoting and improving it is becoming increasingly important: today, the Treccani Italian Encyclopedia Institute inked a collaboration agreement with the Central Institute for Intangible Heritage to coordinate and share collaborative project efforts. The two institutes will collaborate on annual or multi-year projects aimed at disseminating, promoting, educating, and enhancing Italy's intangible cultural heritage. The initiation of this collaboration signifies a crucial advancement in promoting awareness of Italy's intangible cultural heritage and will have substantial ramifications for enriching a heritage that serves as a distinctive characteristic across the nation.
