Cappuccino remains one of the most popular and indispensable Italian breakfast beverages in 2025, a simple gesture that delivers happy feelings and energy throughout the day. This is according to a recent Parmalat survey, conducted ahead of Cappuccino Day on November 8th. In recent years, cappuccino has become the quintessential beverage of Italian breakfasts. According to the survey, 88% of respondents now consider it the finest way to start the day, up from 82% in 2024. This can be a personal or shared family ritual. 91% of those polled said they love cappuccino, with 48% saying they consume it on a daily basis, indicating a small increase in habitual usage. Italians remain notable innovators: 57% of those surveyed reported that they have honed their technique through repeated experimentation, resulting in a personal and distinctive recipe. It also seems that 80% make cappuccino at home: the electric milk frother is becoming more common (49% 2025 vs 45% 2024), followed by the coffee machine (30%) and the manual milk frother (18%). The foam is at the center of the experience; 59% of respondents prefer it by the spoonful, extending the pleasure of cappuccino and transforming each cup into a personal treat. Cappuccino prepared this way brings positive sensations that accompany the day from the morning through to the evening moments of relaxation.
