An economic return greater than 50 times the resources employed. Revenues exceeded €18 million, with a direct economic impact on the province of Cuneo estimated at €42.2 million. These are the figures that surround the Alba white truffle, which is currently the focal point of the 95th International Fair dedicated to it. The Alba International White Truffle Fair (October 11-December 8) maintains its status as one of the most prominent and appealing events in the global food and wine scene, not only because of the quality of its programme, but also because of the sheer number of visitors who attest to its success. During the previous year's fair, more than 600,000 visitors experienced the highlights of the Langhe, Monferrato, and Roero region, situated in the center of the Piedmont hills, captivated by the uniqueness of the Alba white truffle and the variety of activities available. The Fair's food and wine program includes over 40 national and international chefs, many of whom have Michelin stars, who will give cooking displays, themed dinners, and workshops. Their presence helps to elevate the event's reputation and promote a taste culture focused on excellence, inventiveness, and respect for raw resources. The public activities—including cookery demonstrations, culinary schools, lunches at Roddi Castle, Unusual Dinners, and Fresh Pasta Workshops—have drawn more than 3,500 participants, of whom 70% are international attendees.
