Fincantieri has announced a new contract from Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. (NCLH) to build an ultra-luxury cruise ship for Regent Seven Seas Cruises. The order, subject to standard financing and contractual conditions, reinforces the company’s strong position in the global shipbuilding market. Scheduled for delivery in 2033, the vessel will be a sister ship to the “Seven Seas Prestige”, the first of the new Prestige Class currently under construction at the Marghera shipyard and due in 2026. Another unit from the same series is already planned for 2030. With a gross tonnage of 77,000, a length of 257 meters, and capacity for 822 guests, the ship will offer one of the highest space-to-guest ratios in the industry. The design blends luxury with advanced sustainability technologies, reflecting Fincantieri’s focus on eco-innovation. The collaboration between Fincantieri and NCLH is among the strongest in the sector: the Italian group has already built ten ships for the company’s brands and currently holds orders for thirteen more, covering Norwegian Cruise Line, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, and Oceania Cruises — a testament to their enduring partnership and shared strategic vision.
