Gennaro Esposito, a two-Michelin-star chef, has been tasked with cooking at the five-star Nani Mocenigo Palace hotel in Venice. Thus, the Vico Equense-born chef's new home is the La Bauta restaurant, who arrives in the lagoon to lead an ambitious international brigade. It's more than just cooking; it's about creating a dialogue between South and North, sun and fog, sea and mountain. Esposito honors tradition while adding a touch of fun. The menu takes you on a trip through cod, sea bream, cuttlefish, and citrus fruits. There’s risotto scented with lemon, gnocchi that tell the story of Campania, and of course, Venetian fried seafood. For dessert: the babà, and a very special tiramisù. The setting is pure 18th-century Venice — frescoes, Murano glass, and velvet.
