After taking the opening set 7–5, Musetti struggled in the second as De Minaur capitalized on his fatigue to level the match. The deciding set saw both players exchange breaks before play was paused for nine minutes due to a medical emergency in the stands. When the match resumed, Musetti found renewed energy, producing inspired tennis and clinching two consecutive breaks to seal the win.
The victory keeps his semifinal hopes alive—though to progress, he will need to overcome Carlos Alcaraz in the final round-robin match.
