The ATP Finals final set a new television ratings record: no tennis match had ever received as high viewership. The match between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, which aired on Raidue and Sky, drew a total of 7 million viewers with a 36.5% share, surpassing the 2023 final between Sinner and Djokovic, which on Raiuno had stopped at 6.7 million. On Raidue, the Turin match (6:15-8:29 PM) drew 5,550,000 viewers, or 29% of the total. Sky, which has full rights to the event, gained 1,458,000 viewers and a 7.5% share, with 2.6 million unique views. For the Comcast group broadcaster, it was the most-followed edition ever: three matches exceeded 800,000 viewers and the tournament average settled at 500,000 per match. With the new measuring method, the data is calculated as total audience, which includes views from PCs, smartphones, and tablets. Auditel, in fact, updated its measurement system at the end of 2024 to reflect new ways of consuming content. Focusing solely on "big screen" audiences, Sinner-Alcaraz still exceeded the final from two years prior: 6,789,000 viewers compared to 6,686,000. With the total audience, the gap grows to 7,008,000. Demonstrating tennis’s exceptional pull, on the same day the Italy–Norway soccer match in prime time on Raiuno totaled 7.5 million viewers in total audience, with a 34% share. The Azzurri's match, albeit insignificant in terms of standings, benefited from its prime-time spot and the lure of the flagship network. Nonetheless, Sinner brought tennis within touching distance of soccer, surpassing it in share.
