Italy has dropped three places in the latest FIFA ranking released on November 19, falling to 12th and slipping out of the top ten. The Azzurri were overtaken by Germany, Croatia, and Morocco. At the top of the table, nothing changes: European champions Spain remain first, followed by World Cup holders Argentina and runners-up France. England, finalists in the last two European Championships, hold fourth place.
Brazil, coached by Carlo Ancelotti, climbs to fifth, while Portugal, the Netherlands, and Belgium round out the top ten. For Italy, this marks the lowest ranking in five years—a return to the positions recorded between 2019 and 2020, when the team hovered around 13th place. The climb that once brought them to fourth in late 2021 now feels distant.
