According to estimates by Confcommercio, this year, 70% of Italians are expected to participate in Black Friday week shopping, representing a 3% increase compared to 2024. More than half of shoppers plan to take advantage of the opportunity to purchase early Christmas gifts. The average budget is €268, a modest increase from the previous year. Shopping is predominantly driven by women, young adults aged 18 to 34, and Northern Italians. Electronics is the most popular category, and artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly crucial in locating easy bargains. Indeed, one-third of buyers prefer to buy completely online. Overall, 90.9% of clients will spend up to €500, with only 9.1% exceeding that limit. Electronics and household appliances remain the most popular products, followed by clothing, personal care items, and toys. This confirms the preference for practical, personalized, and family-oriented presents.
