With more than a thousand registered companies from both nations, the Italy–Saudi Arabia Business Forum 2025, scheduled for November 25, 2025, in Riyadh, stands as one of the most significant bilateral economic events in recent years and offers a strategic platform to strengthen economic relations between the two countries. Entrepreneurs and executives from more than 430 Italian companies representing diverse sectors will participate, totaling 805 attendees. This includes 385 from the infrastructure sector, 146 from high-tech industries, 99 from pharmaceuticals, 95 from agritech, and 80 from the sports sector. The Forum, which is divided into five thematic macro-areas, plans roughly 340 business-to-business meetings between Italian and Saudi enterprises. For Italian companies, which exported commodities valued at €4.4 billion to the country during the first nine months of 2025—a 4.3% rise compared to the previous year—this represents a vital market for further expanding their exports. Saudi Arabia regards Italy, renowned for its manufacturing excellence across all sectors, as an ideal ally for fulfilling the objectives of Vision 2030, the development strategy initiated by the government in 2016. The policy seeks to diversify the national economy and reduce reliance on oil by large investments in manufacturing, infrastructure, renewable energy, tourism, culture, and sports.
