Gucci will unveil its Cruise 2027 collection in New York on May 16. The exhibition, which will take place at an undisclosed location, will present Demna Gvasalia's first Cruise collection as creative director. "New York occupies a significant position in Gucci's history: it was here, in 1953, that the House inaugurated its first international boutique, marking the commencement of the brand's global expansion", states a declaration from the Kering-owned brand. The house thus returns with a runway show in New York City, a metropolis that "has consistently embodied its spirit of creativity and cultural dialogue—a place where boldness and modernity persistently converge and inspire", the statement concludes.
