Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, long-time top manager of Ferrari, explained the crisis of the Prancing Horse in an interview with Italia Oggi: "There is a lack of strong leadership, a lack of technical ability, and an unusual organization. I still don't know who Ferrari's technical director is, and who is in charge of developing the car. From the outside, I see a situation that shares similarities with 1975 and 1991. Back then, however, there was a powerful president, followed by Jean Todt, Ross Brawn, Rory Byrne, and Stefano Domenicali (current Formula 1 CEO). I had nominated Andrea Stella (Mclaren's current team principal) as the future technical director. The Ferrari road cars also featured Mattia Binotto (currently team principal of Sauber/Audi) and Andrea Zappia (former CEO of Sky Italia). A great team, all people more skilled than I and with a clear role. I hope Ferrari returns to the top. But I am worried about the 2026 cars with the new regulations".
