Leonardo has made a strategic entry into the Asian market: in Dhaka, the Italian firm signed a letter of intent with the Bangladesh Air Force, opening the possibility for the supply of Eurofighter fighter aircraft. The deal, announced by the Bangladeshi Air Force on its social media channels, is the initial step toward long-term industrial collaboration. The transaction's statistics have not yet been released, although local press reports suggest a likely order of 12 to 16 aircraft. The aircraft will be manufactured at Leonardo's Caselle facility, the central hub of the Eurofighter production line within the consortium led by the company in partnership with BAE Systems and Airbus.
