Following its theatrical premiere in Spain and Latin America, the film was released in the United States under the title "Triumph over Evil – Battle of the Exorcists", and achieved notable success: during its opening week, it ranked eighth at the US box office among independent films. On Rotten Tomatoes, one of the most popular US online review sites, the documentary has received multiple positive comments and a 4.7 out of five star rating. The film "rigorously and sensitively explores the complex theme of extraordinary demonic activity and the role of the exorcist through authentic testimonies of exorcists and a compelling visual style that concurrently avoids superficial sensationalism". The documentary, released in Spain and Latin America under the title "Libera Nos - el combate de los exorcistas", has gotten a positive response from Colombia to Mexico. The next phase will be Western Europe: the picture will be released in France in 2026, with talks already underway to expand distribution to other European countries.
