Following a contraction of €3.3 billion or 0.5% in 2024 compared to 2023, Italian exports resumed growth in the first nine months of 2025, increasing by €16.6 billion (+3.6%) relative to the same period in the previous year. This was reported by the CGIA's Research Office in Mestre (Venice). "Although it is premature to draw definitive conclusions", said the group, "the tariffs imposed by Trump appear not to have impacted our exports". In particular, Italian exports to the US market demonstrated a favorable outcome: following a decline of €2.2 billion or 3.3% in 2024 compared to 2023, exports grew by €4.3 billion (+9%) during the first nine months, increasing from €48.1 billion to €52.4 billion.
