The manhunt for Ciro Andolfi has come to an end. The 1976-born fugitive was arrested by the Naples Carabinieri Investigative Unit after more than two years in hiding. Wanted since 2022 and listed among Italy’s 100 most dangerous fugitives by the Interior Ministry, Andolfi was tracked down in the Barra district, on the eastern outskirts of Naples. Investigators found him concealed inside a makeshift masonry hideout built within an apartment that was being searched. Officers executed a prison order issued by the Naples Court of Appeal’s General Prosecutor, which requires Andolfi to serve a remaining sentence of 8 years, 3 months and 10 days. Authorities believe Andolfi to be linked to the “Andolfi Cuccaro” Camorra clan. He was convicted of mafia-type criminal association, aggravated extortion and corruption. With this arrest, the number of fugitives captured by the Naples investigative unit over the past year rises to 22.
