Maria Sole Agnelli, sister of Gianni and Susanna Agnelli, has died at the age of 100 at her home near Rome. Born in 1925 in Villar Perosa, she turned 100 last August.
She served as president of the Agnelli Foundation for 14 years, promoting initiatives in education, culture and research. Married twice, she was the mother of five children and remained actively engaged in public debate, particularly on the future of Italy’s school system.
Her passing marks the end of a chapter in one of Italy’s most influential families.
