Checco Zalone continues to redefine Italian box office records. His film Buen Camino, directed by Gennaro Nunziante and released on December 25, grossed nearly €27 million in its first four days, attracting more than 3.3 million viewers across 771 cinemas. The film captured a 71% market share, marking the biggest opening ever for a Christmas release in Italy. Distributed by Medusa Film, the movie fueled a nationwide cinematic surge: Cinetel reported a 257% increase compared to the previous weekend and an 87% rise over the same weekend in 2024. Unlike Zalone’s previous releases Quo Vado? and Tolo Tolo, which debuted on New Year’s Day, Buen Camino achieved its record during the Christmas period.
