Fernanda Contri passed away in Rapallo at the age of 90. She was a pioneering figure in Italian law: the first female judge on the Constitutional Court, the first woman to hold top positions at Palazzo Chigi, and a former minister. Appointed to the Constitutional Court in 1985, she later joined the Superior Council of the Judiciary, served on the Anti-Mafia Committee, and became the first female Secretary General at the Presidency of the Council in 1992. In 1993, she was appointed Minister for Social Affairs, focusing on immigration, humanitarian aid, and social assistance, particularly during the Balkan conflicts.
