Italy has officially authorized the domestic production of dealcoholized wine, following a long-awaited government decree. These wines undergo fermentation before alcohol is removed through advanced technological processes.
The move opens new market opportunities, particularly among health-conscious consumers, athletes, and those who avoid alcohol for religious or medical reasons. Until now, Italian producers were forced to carry out dealcoholization abroad due to regulatory gaps.
