Armani plans to open other luxury hotels across the world, building on its success in Dubai and Milan. The Italian fashion group, dedicated to securing the future of the empire established by Giorgio Armani, has extended its partnership with Symphony Global, the private investment firm of Emirati entrepreneur Mohamed Alabbar, renowned for developing the Burj Khalifa skyscraper and other notable projects. The arrangement, which will run 20 years with a 10-year renewal period, intends to establish Armani Hotels & Resorts in key worldwide areas. The joint venture will be based in Milan and Dubai, and the business concept — which had been shared with Giorgio Armani — is based on the development of two models. On the one hand, luxury Armani Hotels, like the two already in operation and the one set to open next year in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. On the other hand, a model geared toward a still high-end lifestyle but with a younger, more lifestyle-focused atmosphere, with the goal of appealing to new generations of tourists, particularly in the Middle East and Asia. The Italian brand will be involved in architectural, interior design, furniture, materials, lighting, and service standards.
