The ninth edition of "Italy on the Move", which will take place on January 14th in San Francisco, aims to bring together institutions, businesses, and investors while also strengthening the dialogue between Italy and the United States on innovation and investment opportunities in the life science industry. The event is organized by the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy, the Consulate General of Italy in San Francisco, Invest in Italy, and industry trade associations. The event takes place alongside the 44th J.P. Morgan Annual Healthcare Conference, held in San Francisco from January 12 to 15, a major event for the global healthcare, biotech, and investment communities, attracting thousands of professionals and an extensive program of meetings and collateral events across the city. "Italy on the Move", a side event organized in connection with the conference and promoted by Italy, aims to enhance collaboration between Italian and American players by bringing together life sciences stakeholders and enhancing Italy's role as an international partner in the industry. The event will take place at Innovit - Italian Innovation and Culture Hub in San Francisco, and it will bring together over 200 institutional representatives and major actors in the biotech, pharmaceutical, and investment ecosystems of Italy and the United States. The market environment underscores the strategic significance of the Italian sector: the life sciences industries in Italy produce a turnover exceeding €237 billion, accounting for nearly 10% of GDP, and employing 1.8 million individuals. In addition, nearly 131 Italian companies in the sector report revenues of over €100 million.
