The Italian gold, silver, and jewelry industry continues to prosper. In 2024, the country's 101 biggest precious metal manufacturers generated a combined turnover of €8.9 billion, up 6.1% from 2023 and 10.1% from 2022. They employed over 17,100 workers, representing a 12.5% rise from two years earlier. The presence of large foreign groups remains significant: twelve corporations achieved an aggregate revenue of nearly €2.4 billion, accounting for 26.7% of overall sales. These companies' average turnover is €199 million, more than double that of Italian-owned companies, which average €73.6 million. This is the conclusion of the second edition of the Mediobanca Research Area's survey of the gold and silver jewelry business in Italy, which examined the financial statements of the 101 largest operators with a revenue of more than €19 million. The outlook remains positive: revenues are predicted to increase by 5.8% in 2025. Bulgari Gioielli continues to lead the 2024 revenue rankings, with €846 million, followed by Morellato (€723 million) and PGI (€637 million). Damiani and UnoAerre Industries complete out the top five with €368 million and €283 million, respectively. A total of thirteen companies have surpassed the €150 million revenue threshold.
