Ducati has unveiled its new Desmosedici GP, the bike that Marc Márquez and Francesco Bagnaia will race from the Thai Grand Prix on March 1, launching a season filled with expectations.
The Bologna-based manufacturer will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2026, and the new livery pays tribute to its heritage: from the red of the Ducati 60 of 1949 to that of the Gran Sport “Marianna” of 1955, the first motorcycle designed specifically for racing by legendary engineer Fabio Taglioni. A double white stripe completes a design intended to honour past victories in a crucial transitional year.
The 2025 season confirmed Ducati’s dominance: a historic treble - riders’, constructors’ and teams’ titles - for the third time in its history, 88 consecutive podium finishes and 13 victories for the second year in a row. The Ducati Lenovo Team reached 99 MotoGP wins, while Marc Márquez set the all-time record for points in a single season with 545. A sixth consecutive constructors’ title capped the campaign.
The 2026 calendar will feature 22 races and 44 sprint events. Ducati’s declared goal is to fight for a seventh straight constructors’ crown and a sixth riders’ title.
