Patrick Reed joined the Hero Dubai Desert Classic honor roll for the first time. The 35-year-old American controlled the final round with a par 72 and closed the tournament at −14, winning by four shots over Andy Sullivan. A spectacular victory, earned primarily during the first three days, earns him one of the most prestigious titles on the European circuit. For Italy, however, the most encouraging news comes from Francesco Molinari. The Turin champion finished fourth at −8, delivering a solid performance in one of the most anticipated Rolex Series events of the season. Molinari had not finished in the top ten since December 2025, when he placed ninth at the Nedbank Golf Challenge. In Dubai he stayed in contention for the podium for a long time, before closing the final round at par, slowed by a double bogey at the 9th and an overly aggressive bunker shot at the 15th. Andrea Pavan also competed, sharing the course with Molinari over the weekend. After a promising start to the final round, a few putts that just missed and bogeys at holes 15 and 16 pushed him down to fourteenth place at −5. However, the result was positive, confirming Italian golf's outstanding form over a week of high-level technical prowess.
