"The World Saved by Kids": this is the title chosen for the next edition of the Turin International Book Fair, which will take place from May 14th to 18th at the Lingotto, home to the most prestigious national and international fairs. Annalena Benini, director of Italy's largest publishing festival, made the announcement, noting that it is also the title of a book written by Elsa Morante. The Fair will get off with an inaugural lecture by British writer and essayist Zadie Smith titled "Everything Was Extreme. And It Still Is”, which is about the world of young people and focuses on adolescent reflection. The 43rd edition of the event was presented at the Polytechnic University of Turin, and as was previously stated at the end of the 2025 edition, Greece will be the guest of honor, with Umbria serving as the guest region. The eight thematic sections remain confirmed, with the addition of a ninth section specifically dedicated to younger audiences.
