They work in around one out of every two enterprises in Trentino-Alto Adige, the region with the highest proportion of companies employing foreign workers (48.2%). Emilia-Romagna (44.8%) and Tuscany (43%), too, have a percentage that exceeds 40%. Tourism has the largest occurrence (48.5%), followed by agriculture, forestry, and fishing (46.6%), manufacturing (42.3%), and construction (40.4%). Since yesterday, a dashboard—a type of control panel—has been operational to monitor the needs of companies for foreign laborers in order to comprehend and visualize the phenomenon. The dashboard is divided into two sections: the first section enables you to navigate the primary data on companies with foreign employees (sector of activity, geographical distribution, size class) and analyze the characteristics of foreign employment stocks in 2024 (geographical area of origin, gender); the second section enables you to investigate the anticipated inflow of foreign personnel by sought-after professions, sectors, regions of employment, experience required, and area of origin.
