Over the last two years, the number of Italians holding crypto assets has surged by 103%, to nearly 1.4 million individuals and legal entities. The overall portfolio value is around €2 billion, with an average client value of €1,400. The clientele is mostly young, with 64% between the ages of 18 and 39, and 37% between 18 and 29. These figures are offered by Deloitte specialists, who also underline the primary hazards that investors should be aware of. The first is volatility. The price of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency assets can fluctuate dramatically, both upwards and downwards. The second risk profile addresses liquidity. In lesser markets, investors may be unable to sell the asset at the appropriate time or price. Deloitte experts underscore that, "as with any investment, it is imperative to exercise caution and seek the assistance of qualified intermediaries to prevent falling prey to malicious operators who disseminate false or fraudulent information. Yet, this recommendation is applicable to all financial products".
