More than 25,000 enterprises have emerged in Italy focused on digital content production, including YouTubers, TikTokers, influencers, and video creators who have turned their digital abilities and creativity into structured and recognized businesses. This data is the result of the first comprehensive survey conducted in Italy by InfoCamere in partnership with the University of Padua, which documents the substantial growth of this innovative sector. The number of enterprises associated with digital content creators increased by 185% between 2015 and 2024, from approximately 9,000 to over 25,000. This expansion was mostly driven by "core" businesses (+206%), which operate directly in the audiovisual production, digital marketing, and online platform management industries. Simultaneously, "hybrid" businesses that incorporate content creation into conventional sectors such as fashion, tourism, fitness, and consulting experienced a more than twofold increase (+155%).
