The wave of severe weather that has been hitting Calabria's Tyrrhenian coast since yesterday caused the Busento River to overflow its banks this morning in Molino Irto, on the border between Dipignano and Cosenza, invading surrounding areas and damaging several parked cars. Several families are isolated, and rescuers are trying to reach them. The Campagnano River has also overflowed in some sections between Cosenza and Rende, spilling water and mud onto the asphalt. Several roads are flooded and closed to traffic. Rainfall has exceeded 260 millimeters in the last 48 hours.
