Italy broke a record at the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics. Historic double for Federica Brignone, who also won gold in the women’s giant slalom after her Super-G triumph. Fourth place for Lara Della Mea, who remained off the podium despite the third time, behind Hector and Stjernesund; Sofia Goggia, third after the first run, fell back. Lisa Vittozzi also won gold in the biathlon pursuit in Antholz. Suvi Minkkinen of Finland won the silver medal, while Marem Kirkeeide of Norway took bronze. The Italian remained flawless on the shooting range, gaining four positions from her previous solo result.
