Andrea Bocelli will be the major musical star of the final evening of the 2026 Sanremo Festival, the event where each year the greatest talents of Italian music compete. One of the most beloved Italian voices in the world, who performed one of the most iconic songs in the history of Italian music, "Con te partirò", at Sanremo in 1995, will conclude the week on the evening of Saturday, February 28th. "I thought it was a point of arrival, but it was actually a starting point: the Ariston audience, my mother cheering, my father at the back of the room, moved and silent, Italy watching on TV", the artist said. "The Sanremo stage is like a memory album for me". Indeed, Bocelli has had an unstoppable career since then, representing Italy at the most important international events, from the Olympic ceremonies in Turin in 2006 to the recent Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, to the world's stages, bringing Italian operatic tradition and song to billions of viewers, all the way to international recognition, with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Thirty years after his initial appearance on the iconic stage of Italian song, his participation in the Sanremo 2026 final is expected to be a moment of great intensity and celebration: a bridge between his Italian origins and international horizons.
