President Sergio Mattarella has invited the Olympic and Paralympic medalists from Milan Cortina 2026 to the Quirinale Palace. The meeting will take place on April 8, and on that occasion the Olympic and Paralympic standard-bearers will return the flags. According to a statement from the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI), the Head of State informed CONI President Luciano Buonfiglio and CIP President Marco Giunio De Sanctis that he has extended an invitation to the fourth-place finishers.
