The Bologna Children's Book Fair travels to the United Nations Headquarters in New York, bringing over sixty years of expertise studying and supporting the best children's literature. On the symbolic occasion of UN Kids Day (February 20), the fair will inaugurate the exhibition "Turning the Page on Change. Children's Books Inspiring Action for the Global Goals". Since March 2019, the Bologna Children's Book Fair has collaborated with the United Nations on the Sustainable Development Goals Book Club, a project launched in response to the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development that aims to explore the 17 SDGs through a selection of children's and young adult titles. This link, which had grown over the years, was strengthened even further during the fair's last two editions, which featured panels on sustainability subjects arranged in partnership with the UN. Presented by the Bologna Children's Book Fair/BolognaFiere in collaboration with United Nations Publications and supported by the Italian Trade Agency and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the exhibition will be on display until March 13. It features a selection of 173 illustrated books, with a particular emphasis on approximately 30 Italian titles, from around the world. The books were selected from the top nominees for the special category of the BolognaRagazzi Awards 2025, dedicated to sustainability.
