“For a moment I had forgotten who I was". Lewis Hamilton chose intimate, poetic words on Instagram to relaunch his challenge with Ferrari. The seven-time world champion is eagerly anticipating the Australian Grand Prix, which is set to take place from March 6-8, as he approaches his second season in red with renewed conviction following the tests in Bahrain. Hamilton sought to reassure his 42.3 million followers by strongly denying reports of his impending retirement from Formula One: "I know what needs to be done. This is going to be an incredible season. I feel refreshed and rested. I am not going anywhere". Words that sound like a genuine battle cry. The British driver then expressed gratitude to the Maranello team, highlighting the team's extensive work on the new technical project: "It's inspiring to see a team develop a car from scratch, designing and redesigning it tirelessly. Only a few of us get to test it. And that's a feeling that never fades". Ferrari's new era has excelled during pre-World Championship testing. Now it's up to the track to see if Hamilton and the Reds' redemption can actually begin in Australia.
