The second night of the 76th edition of the Festival della Canzone Italiana di Sanremo began to shape the competition, offering early confirmations, a few surprises and ratings that confirm the festival’s enduring ability to captivate the country. Fifteen of the 30 “Big” artists performed on the stage of the Teatro Ariston, and the provisional top five — determined by a combined vote from the radio jury and the public televote — featured Tommaso Paradiso, Lda & Aka 7Even, Nayt, Fedez alongside Marco Masini, and Ermal Meta. As always, the ranking offers only a partial glimpse of the final outcome, but it begins to outline the balance of power in this year’s race. Broadcast on Rai1, the evening drew an average audience of 9.053 million viewers, corresponding to a 59.5% share. The figure marks an improvement over opening night’s 58% share, signaling growing momentum, though it remains below last year’s levels. A closer look at the numbers shows that the first part of the show (9:46 pm–11:34 pm) attracted 11.531 million viewers with a 58.2% share, while the later segment (11:39 pm–1:10 am) was watched by 5.947 million viewers, posting a 62.7% share. Solid figures overall, albeit still below the 2025 peak, when the second night averaged more than 11.8 million viewers and a 64.6% share. The festival now looks ahead. The remaining 15 artists will perform tonight, and the winner of the Newcomers’ section will be announced. Among the evening’s guests are Eros Ramazzotti, Alicia Keys, Virginia Raffaele and Fabio De Luigi. Adding a touch of international glamour, Irina Shayk will serve as co-host of the third night alongside Carlo Conti and Laura Pausini. A global fashion icon and regular presence on the world’s most prestigious runways and red carpets, Shayk has appeared on more than 150 magazine covers - 46 of them for Vogue - and is featured in the 2025 Pirelli Calendar. From her film debut opposite Dwayne Johnson in Hercules to her ongoing influence across fashion and media, she remains one of the industry’s most recognizable international figures. With the competition tightening and ratings holding firm, Sanremo once again proves it remains a central fixture of Italy’s cultural conversation.
