In a hard-fought final against Germany’s Yannick Hanfmann, the Italian world No. 21 prevailed 7–6, 7–5, displaying composure and fighting spirit at key moments. With this victory, Darderi becomes the player with the most ATP titles won on clay since the start of 2024, surpassing even Carlos Alcaraz. His consistency is equally impressive: with 48 match wins since last season, he now ranks second on the tour for total victories, trailing only Francisco Cerúndolo. The triumph in Santiago came less than 24 hours after fellow Italian Flavio Cobolli lifted the trophy in Acapulco.
