An unprecedented success for the exhibition “Impressionism and Beyond. Masterpieces from the Detroit Institute of Arts”, hosted in Rome at the Museo dell'Ara Pacis. The exhibition has received over 110,000 visitors in 90 days, from December 4, 2025 until today, proving its status as one of the most popular cultural events of the Roman season. This remarkable outcome, which is supported by a consistent average of more than 1,300 visitors per day, illustrates the fascination of the Italian and international public with an exhibition of the utmost quality. The Ara Pacis rooms house absolute masterpieces by Cézanne, Renoir, Van Gogh, Degas, Matisse, Picasso, Kandinsky, and the great masters of the 19th and 20th centuries, transforming the exhibition into a true cultural phenomenon capable of combining scholarly quality and widespread participation, with an itinerary also designed for the visually impaired. To accommodate the enormous attendance and better flow management, the exhibition's hours have been extended: beginning March 27, it will be open until 8:30 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
