A romantic escape in one of the most romantic places in the world, a mysterious robbery and two Hollywood stars: “Positano” is the new romantic comedy directed by Daniel Roher and produced by Netflix that will begin filming next month on the Amalfi Coast with Matthew McConaughey (Oscar for Best Actor in 2013 for 'Dallas Buyers Club') and Zoe Saldaña (Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in 2025 for 'Emilia Perez'). The two actors were so captivated by the writing that they applied immediately for the roles. "I want to talk to you about Italy and Italians, people who complain but always find a solution", the American actor said in a video shared on his social media page. "They excel at breaching the rules; what others view as a mistake, they see as a creation. They enjoy the natural beauty of life because they were born in a lovely and wonderful environment. Their cuisine, particularly that of the South, reflects this: it is the language of love" Italy is one of the few places in the world where beauty meets history, art, and humanity, even in simple everyday gestures like sitting at the table or helping each other. Italians and Italy are magical, and I can't wait to relocate to Positano for this new job". The movie will follow the adventures of an American couple visiting Italy for the first time, punctuated by a strange heist in which they become embroiled, setting them off on a journey that would prove far more profound than they could have expected.
