Cultural sites in Italy are doing well, with admissions up 15.8% in 2025 compared to the previous year. Archaeological parks are driving the sector, with over ten million tickets sold. Visitors from other countries (mainly the United Kingdom) account for 70% of total visits. While non-European visitors plan trips to Italy's cultural attractions (particularly archeological parks) months in advance, Italians are "last-minute" visitors, buying tickets on the day of their visit. This is according to information from the Delphos Foundation. The study, which used data from the online platform MidaTicket, looked at 49.2 million admission tickets issued between 2024 and 2025 at 226 national cultural sites, including museums, archaeological sites, parks, and other exhibition venues. If 2025 recorded +15.8% visitors compared with the previous year, online ticket sales increased by more than four points (36.8% in 2025 compared with 32.6% in 2024). In 2025 the average price of a full ticket also increased (+6%, from 10.32 to 10.97 euros).
