Filming has begun in Milan for “My Name Is Carlo”, the film directed by Giacomo Campiotti dedicated to the life of Carlo Acutis, the millennial saint who, thanks to his faith and passion for computing, managed to reach new generations all over the world. Filming will then move to Assisi, a spiritual place dear to the boy. The film's protagonist will be young actor Samuele Carrino, who will play Carlo at three pivotal points in his life: his childhood at six years old, when he was already marked by a deep religious sensitivity; his time at eleven; and his first year of high school in 2006, when his life was cut short due to fulminant leukemia. His witness has reached far beyond Italy's boundaries, culminating in his canonization on September 7, 2025, at a solemn ceremony in St. Peter's Square attended by Pope Leo XIV.
