One of the most powerful money-making machines in the global digital business employs some fairly ancient levers: sensuality and desire. This is demonstrated by the data from OnlyFans, a platform that distributes tailored pornographic content to users and generates record revenue each year. The parent business, Fenix International Ltd, recorded $1.4 billion in revenue with only 46 employees in their financial papers submitted in the United Kingdom last year. Italy also plays a part. OnlyGuider reported that Italy has roughly 85,000 creators and generates a total revenue of $110.5 million, ranking the country tenth in the world in terms of creators and turnover. Data produced for Affari & Finanza by Fiscozen, a digital business specializing in freelancer and self-employed professional accounting, allows for a more precise profile of Italian creators. In a sample of over 250 OnlyFans subscribers, the average revenue in 2025 was €24,567, a small decrease from €27,335 in 2024 and €28,666 in 2023. Regarding age, 26% are under 25, 59% are between 26 and 35, and 15% are over 35. Women make up the vast majority of creators (75%).
