Approximately 4,000 Italian companies have Middle Eastern shareholders: 3,839 of these companies, with a total stake value of €415 million held by residents of the Persian Gulf and Middle Eastern region, according to data updated as of December 31, compiled by InfoCamere, which analyzed the Company Register to assess the true weight of this geopolitical region in the Italian production system. The distribution of shares reveals a strong geographical concentration of investments: the United Arab Emirates owns 40.8% of the total capital from the area invested in Italy, which amounts to around €170 million.
