The Under 16 team of Uyba Volley, an A1 women's volleyball club from Busto Arsizio that recently won the provincial title in the division, had a bad experience in Rome. The athletes, who were in the capital for the prestigious XV Randazzo International Tournament 2026, were victims of a theft that could jeopardize their next sports commitment as well. The team's minibus, which was parked near the gym where the awards ceremony had just taken place, was forced and robbed by unknown individuals. The burglars stole the athletes' bags and the iPads used by players and coaches. The most serious loss, however, is the disappearance of official uniforms: without jerseys, young volleyball players may be unable to take the field on April 7 for a regional championship match. According to the company, the stolen tablets were located briefly in a nearby Roma camp before being deactivated and disappearing off radar. A complaint was filed with the carabinieri regarding the incident. Hence the call of Uyba Volley: "Return at least the stolen jerseys, so that the girls can play as they deserve".
