In Italy, pay remains a topic that is rarely discussed within organizations. The majority of employees discuss it exclusively in the private sphere, with 51% discussing it exclusively with their partner, 28% discussing it with family or friends, and only 8% sharing this information with colleagues in Italy. These are the data released by Sesame HR, a European technology platform for the digital management of human resources. In this context, the platform has observed a growing interest among Italian companies in more structured and transparent people management models. The change required is particularly substantial for the Italian entrepreneurial fabric, which is composed of over 90% of small and medium-sized enterprises. Many firms continue to function with inadequately defined pay structures and low levels of transparency, necessitating a qualitative leap in processes and corporate culture.
