Italy’s Ministry of Economy has unveiled a new round of leadership appointments for major state-controlled companies, combining strategic continuity with targeted changes. At Leonardo, the aerospace and defense group, Lorenzo Mariani (in the picture) has been nominated as chief executive officer, with Francesco Macrì set to take over as chairman, marking a shift from the previous leadership.

Continuity prevails at Enel, where Flavio Cattaneo will remain CEO and Paolo Scaroni chairman. Similarly, Eni will retain Claudio Descalzi as CEO, joined by newly appointed chairwoman Giuseppina Di Foggia. Meanwhile, air traffic control company Enav is set for a leadership update, with Sandro Pappalardo nominated as chairman and Igor de Biasio as CEO.
